
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Guilherme Carvalho has indicated he will attend Tusculum College and play tennis for the Pioneers announced TC men's coach Tommy Arnett. Carvalho will be joining the Pioneer program in January.
Carvalho, a native of San Paulo, Brazil, is a graduate of Universal High School in San Paulo. He played the junior regional, state and national circuit in Brazil where he achieved a No. 6 junior ranking in San Paulo and was the No. 41 ranked player in Brazil. He qualified for the State Championship twice.
"Guilherme brings a strong set of tennis skills that will serve him very well in both singles and doubles," said Arnett. "I feel Guilherme will be an immediate impact player for our men's tennis program and will only continue to get better in his future Tusculum career."
Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn. is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
