GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Drew Kiser and Steven Lin recorded the match tying and clinching points as the Tusculum College men's tennis team defeated visiting Lincoln Memorial University 6-3 Thursday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Pioneers (10-9, 4-4 SAC) wrap up its South Atlantic Conference schedule, while snapping a three-match losing streak. LMU falls to 6-9 overall, 1-4 in the league.

Tusculum captured two of the three doubles points. Henrique Rodriques and Leo Guaycurus posted an 8-3 pro set win over the LMU duo of Andras Pauko and Gabor Heredi-Szabo at No. 2 doubles. LMU's Hannes Ganss and Tom Goossens tied the match at 1-1 as they defeated Thomas Rees and Kiser, 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. TC gained the 2-1 lead with a critical 8-6 decision by Hunter Beal and Lin over Zack Jones and Bastian Guenther.

Beal gave Tusculum a 3-1 advantage with his 6-1, 6-0 win over Heredi-Szabo at No. 3 singles. But Ganss and Guenther responded with singles victories for LMU at the first and second flight, respectively. Ganss knocked off Rodrigues 6-2, 6-2, while Guenther posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Rees.

With the score tied 3-3 with three singles matches remaining, Kiser gave the Pioneers their fourth point of the match with his 6-1, 6-4 win over Jones at No. 6 singles. Just moments later, Lin clinched the deciding point with his 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 win over Goossens.

Guaycurus battled back from a set down at No. 4 singles in defeating Pauko 3-6, 7-5, 6-4. For Guaycurus, it was his fourth straight three-set singles contest.

Tusculum will travel to North Greenville University on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match in Tigerville, S.C.
