BANNER ELK, N.C. --- The No. 39 Lees-McRae
College men's tennis team earned their fifth upset over a
nationally-ranked opponent with a 9-0 win over No. 36 Tusculum
College Sunday afternoon at the Baker Tennis Courts.
The Bobcats (13-5) won in straight sets in all of their singles
matches, except the No. 4 flight as Travis Vanhoy defeated
Leo Guaycurus 6-4, 4-6, (10-6).
The Pioneers (9-9) return to action this Friday afternoon when
they host Lincoln Memorial University in the South Atlantic
Conference finale for Tusculum.
Monday's home match against Anderson University has been cancelled
due to the threat of inclement weather and will not be
rescheduled.
