GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The No. 35 Tusculum men's tennis team swept the three doubles points en route to a 9-0 victory over visiting Brevard Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
Carlos Garcia and Sergio Espinosa outlasted the defeated the Brevard pair of Konstantin Savelyev and Andrew Thompson at No. 1 doubles, 8-1in pro sets.
Sergin Espinosa outlasted Savelyev at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2 while Nicholas Bigler won 6-3, 6-1 over Thompson at the No. 2 flight. Garcia won his 22nd straight singles match with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Jared Fisher, while Henrique Rodrigues, Leo Guaycurus and Hunter Beal also accounted for singles victories.
Tusculum (6-0) will travel to Francis Marion Tuesday for a 2 p.m. match.
