
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- More accolades for Tusculum University men's soccer senior forward David Evans as he was selected the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10.
Evans had a memorable week for the Pioneers as he collected his first career two-goal match on Senior Night in a 3-1 victory over rival Carson-Newman on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Evans scored the first and last goals of the match in the second half to give the Pioneers the win in the season finale.
On Saturday, the Johnson City, Tennessee native was elected Homecoming King at halftime of the Tusculum football game with Carson-Newman.
Earlier this week, Evans was named both the Zaxby's Male Athlete of the Week by the Tusculum athletic department and was also recognized as the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Evans closed the 2024 season with three goals on four shot attempts across nine matches and 234 minutes of playing time for the Pioneers.
