KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Tusculum University men's soccer team moved up one spot to seventh in this week's United Soccer Coaches Division II Southeast Region poll, through games of Oct. 15.
The Pioneers (7-3-3) earned two victories last week, beating Emory & Henry 7-0 on Wednesday and Newberry 2-1 on Saturday. Tusculum has appeared in the region poll in each of the seven weeks this season.
Limestone (9-1-2) moved into the number one spot in the region poll, with Clayton State (10-2-0) dropping to second and Wingate (7-3-2) falling a position to third. Lincoln Memorial (8-2-3) moved up two spots to fourth, followed by Coker (6-4-3) which slid one spot to fifth.
Catawba (7-3-2) also fell one spot to sixth, followed by Tusculum in seventh and Chowan (5-3-3) also up one spot to eighth. Francis Marion (6-1-5) dipped two positions to ninth, with Lander (5-4-4) entering the rankings this week in 10th.
Tusculum hosts Wingate on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in their only match of the week.
