KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Tusculum University men's soccer team is ranked fourth in the Southeast Region in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II region poll, which was released Tuesday.
The Pioneers (5-2-1, 1-2-1 South Atlantic Conference) dropped one spot in the rankings after tying Mars Hill 2-2 on Wednesday and falling 2-0 at Catawba on Saturday. Tusculum also dropped out of the national Top 25, but is among the teams receiving votes.
Limestone (6-0-1) remains first in the Southeast Region, with Clayton State (7-1-0) in second. Catawba (4-1-1) jumped from unranked to third in the region following wins over Wingate and Tusculum, with the Pioneers down a spot to fourth and Coker (2-1-3) down one position to fifth.
Wingate (3-3-1) is sixth in the region, with Anderson (2-2-1), Converse (5-2-0), Francis Marion (4-1-2) and Lincoln Memorial (4-1-2) rounding out the poll in tenth.
Tusculum will host Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Pioneer Field in its only match of the week.
