
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College forward
Andreas Kvam has been named the College Men's Soccer Player of the
Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.
Kvam, a sophomore from Valderoey, Norway, scored three goals and
tallied two assists as he led the Pioneers to a pair of league road
victories last week. For his efforts, he was also named the
AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week.
Kvam scored the match-winner in the 98th minute in TC's 2-1 overtime win at Lenoir-Rhyne.
He followed with two goals and two assists in Tusculum's 5-1 road win at Mars Hill. TC scored all of its goals in the second half after trailing 1-0 at the intermission. Kvam assisted on the match-winner.
Kvam leads the Pioneers in scoring with five goals and 12 points as TC improved to 8-4-1 overall, including 7-1 in road contests.
Tusculum returns to action this Saturday night as the Pioneers travel to Salisbury, North Carolina for an 8 p.m. contest against Catawba.
