GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Roberto Pimentel and Andreas Kvam each tallied a pair of goals and an assist to lead the Tusculum College men's soccer team to a 7-0 South Atlantic Conference victory over Brevard College Wednesday night at Pioneer Field.

The Pioneers (4-5-1, 2-3-1 SAC) established a new season-high in goal production and scored seven goals for the first time in five years. Last time TC scored seven goals was in a 7-0 decision over Brevard on Sept. 23, 2009 in Greeneville. BC falls to 3-8-1 overall and 1-5-0 in the SAC.

Tusculum jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first half, sparked by Mark Patterson's penalty kick goal in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Spicher added another scoring tally in the 30th minute when he took a pass from Cody Kammerzell and roofed the ball to the top shelf for a 2-0 Tusculum lead.

Kvam knocked home his first collegiate goal at the 34:24 mark, taking a pass from Matias Rubio and blasting a shot from 15 yards out that slid underneath the BC keeper. Less than a minute later, Kvam helped out on the next goal assisting on Pimentel's third goal of 2014 as the Pioneers carried a 4-0 lead into the locker room.

Pimentel and Kvam each notched their second scoring tallies of the evening, while Tyler Linkous found the back of the net for the first time this year to cap the Tusculum scoring.

Tusculum held a 33-14 shot advantage as keeper Jorge Alvarez posted his first shutout as a Pioneer going the distance and recording five saves.

TC returns to action on Sunday afternoon when the Pioneers host Catawba College for a 3:30 p.m. league tilt.
