The Tusculum College men's soccer team is ranked 10th in the
Southeast Region in the initial National Soccer Coaches Association
of America/Continental Tire NCAA Division II men's regional
rankings, through games of Sunday, September 2.
The Pioneers opened the season with a 2-0 victory at Limestone last
Thursday, then lost 2-0 to preseason 12th-ranked Barry in their
home opener on Saturday night.
Tusculum is one of four South Atlantic Conference teams in the
Southeast Region rankings, joining Mars Hill (2nd), Wingate (4th)
and Lincoln Memorial (9th). Another Tusculum opponent, Clayton
State, is ranked third in the initial poll. Flagler is the
top-ranked team in the region after a 3-2 overtime win against
regionally fifth-ranked Coker in their season opener.
The Pioneers will resume action Friday night at 7 p.m. when they
host Lees-McRae on the first day of the Stanno Tournament at
Pioneer Field.
