GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College men's soccer team will host its annual indoor tournament this Saturday (Feb. 18) on the Greeneville campus at the College's Indoor Practice Facility. The action begins at 8 a.m. and will conclude with the championship match at 7:25 p.m. (Tournament Schedule)

Tusculum will host 22 teams from all NCAA Divisions as well as NAIA and NJCAA programs.

"I'm excited about the opportunity for us to host this tournament. The Tusculum Indoor Tournament has been an annual event for many years," said Tusculum head coach Allen Vital. "Teams have come from all over the country to participate in this event. This year, we have teams from as far as New Jersey joining us. It's always a lot of fun and extremely competitive."

This weekend's Tusculum Indoor Tournament kicks off a very challenging spring season for the Pioneers. Later this spring, Tusculum will travel to ETSU on March 17, followed by home matches with Milligan College (Mar. 21), King College (Mar. 24) and the University of the Cumberlands (Mar. 24). TC will wrap up the spring on March 31 with road matches at Belmont University and Lipscomb University.

Tusculum finished the 2011 season with a 7-8-3 overall record, going unbeaten in 10 of its last 11 regular-season matches. The Pioneers finished second in the South Atlantic Conference, as Vital was named the SAC Coach of the Year in his first season on the sidelines of his alma mater.
