BELMONT, N.C. --- Emmanual Yamson scored his second goal of the match 12 minutes into extra time to lead the Belmont Abbey College men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Tusculum College on Sunday at BAC Alumni Field.

Tusculum (7-3-1) outshot the Crusaders 8-3 in the match, including a 6-0 margin in the second half. Anteneh Lemma notched his sixth goal of the season in the match, converting a penalty kick late in regulation to send the contest to extra time. Yamson netted a pair of goals for the Crusaders (8-6-1) to pace Belmont Abbey to its eighth win of the season.

Yamson opened the scoring in the match midway through the 34th minute, making a run into the area and sending a strike into the bottom corner to give the Crusaders a 1-0 advantage heading into the interval.

The Pioneers battled back in the second half, controlling the run of play for much of the period before Lemma converted his first penalty kick attempt of the season in the 87th minute to pull Tusculum back on terms and send the match into extra time. Belmont Abbey then notched its second extra time win of the season midway through the 103rd minute, when Yamson took a pass from Sunny Makh and beat the keeper for the 2-1 victory.
