
LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Tusculum University sophomore attack Luke Bowen was selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Team of the Week for the week of March 3-9, the USILA announced Wednesday.
Bowen tied for the third-most points in a single game in program history in the Pioneers' 18-14 win at Lees-McRae last Wednesday, collecting five goals and five assists in the victory. Bowen had two of the Pioneers' six man-up goals in the win.
The Edmonton, Alberta native leads the Pioneers in assists (19) and points (30), ranking third in the South Atlantic Conference in assists and tied for fourth in points. Bowen, who shares the team lead with three man-up goals, has at least two points in all seven matches for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers (3-4, 0-2 SAC) visit fifth-ranked Wingate (5-1, 1-1 SAC) on Saturday at noon, part of a stretch of five out of six games against nationally-ranked opponents.
