GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Mike Brisbin has been named the head coach of the Tusculum University men's lacrosse program announced Josh Ealy, TU vice president of athletics.
Brisbin has been serving as interim head coach for the Pioneers since February.
"Mike has done an excellent job in his role as interim head coach," said Ealy. "Being put in the interim role is never easy and he has proven to be the best person to lead our lacrosse program moving forward. He is a relentless worker and a great communicator. I am happy for Mike and his family!"
The Syracuse, New York native began playing lacrosse at age 4. He played at Cicero-North Syracuse High School before continuing his career at Lasell College, where he graduated in 2007.
In 2018, Brisbin began coaching at West High School in Knoxville, helping the team win the Kelly Cup for the best team in the region. Brisbin helped start the Blount County Bulldogs in 2019 to promote the sport to youth at elementary, middle and high school. In the program's first four seasons, they recorded a winning record three times.

Brisbin is the founder and director of Next Level Lacrosse TN, which provides players in East Tennessee with performance training, travel ball, recruiting guidance, camps and a men's league.
He is married to the former Jamie Oeinck of Syracuse, New York and they are the parents of one daughter, Madison.
