Daniel named to USILA D2 Team of the Week for second time this season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Tusculum University midfielder Jordan Daniel has been selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week for the week ending April 16, the USILA announced Tuesday.

Daniel earned the honor for the second time this season after setting a program single-season record with nine assists in Tusculum's 22-14 loss to 17th-ranked Newberry on Saturday. Daniel assisted on each of Tusculum's final seven goals of the game to break the single-game school record of six assists. His nine assists are tied for the most in a single game in Division II this season, while his 10 points (one goal, nine assists) were one off his career high of 11 set Feb. 11 at Chowan.

The graduate student from Langley, British Columbia is the program career leader in assists with 88, and has 56 goals for 144 points in 59 career games. This season, Daniel ranks seventh in Division II in assists per game at 2.55 (28 in 11 games) and has 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points to rank second on the team in points.

The Pioneers will conclude their 2023 season on Saturday, April 22 at Mars Hill, beginning at 3 p.m.
