ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College goalie Kevin Haggerty has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Haggerty, a sophomore from Suffern, New York, earns this honor for a second time this season.

Haggerty posted 25 saves in Tusculum's two league wins last week. Against Lincoln Memorial University last Tuesday, he notched 17 saves in an 8-7 double-overtime win against the Railsplitters.

He followed that effort with eight saves, including a huge stop with 21 seconds left in the contest to give the Pioneers a 7-6 win over Catawba College on Saturday night.

The Pioneers (3-5, 2-3 SAC) return to action this Saturday when they host Brevard College at Pioneer Field.
