ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College goaltender Kevin Haggerty has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Haggerty, a sophomore from Suffern, New York, recorded 25 saves of the 75 shots he faced in Tusculum's two-game Florida road swing to open the 2015 season.
In Tusculum's 13-11 road loss at Florida Tech, Haggerty accounted for 14 saves against the Panthers. TC fell behind 9-0, before making a valiant comeback with a 7-0 run and trailed by one goal on several occasions down the stretch.
