ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College defenseman Mitch Chapman has been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference second team announced league officials with the release of the 2014 SAC Men's Lacrosse Awards.
Chapman, a sophomore from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, emerged as the anchor of the Tusculum defense, where he has recorded a league-best 23 caused turnovers. He also led the team with his 47 ground balls.
Chapman has started in all 12 games for the Pioneers this season
where he has scored seven goals, including a team-high four man-up
goals. He has also posted four assists and 11 total points.
The Pioneers (4-8) will close out their inaugural season next
Thursday (Apr. 24) when they host Alderson-Broaddus for a 7 p.m.
game at Pioneer Field.
