ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. --- Tusculum senior Liam van Deventer shot a 36-hole total 144 and is tied for 18th place following day one action of the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being conducted at the par-72, 7,136-yard St. Johns Golf and Country Club.

The Pioneers carded rounds of 293 and 305 in Monday play and are tied for 15th place.

Host Lincoln Memorial has the 36-hole lead as the Railsplitters shot a 14-under par total 562 including a second round total of 275 (-13). Columbus State is second with 566 (-9) and are four strokes back. Wingate is third with 568, followed by Georgia Southwestern (576), Lander (577), Flagler (577), North Georgia (579), Shorter (587), Ferris State (591) and Union, Tenn. (592) to round out the top-10.

Anderson and Newberry are tied for 11th place with 593, while Erskine is 13th with 594. Coker is 14th with 597, followed by Tusculum (598), Mount Olive (598), King (600), Limestone (606) and Christian Brothers (632).

LMU's Max Reynolds leads after two rounds as the 20th-ranked player in the country posted a nine-under par total of 68-67=135 and leads by two strokes over the trio of George Durkan (Lincoln Memorial), Brandon Skidmore (Wingate) and Edward Rahm (Lander) who all shot 70-67=137 (-7).

Van Deventer opened the day with a 73 which saw him tied for 31st after 18 holes. He closed out the day with a one-under par 71. In his second 18 holes, he was three over par, but rebounded with three straight birdies and shot four-under par for his final 15 holes of the afternoon.

TU's Harrison Price is tied for 50th with 72-78=150, while the duo of Blake Williams and Marinus Jeebe are tied for 70th place with 153. Buster O'Callaghan rounds out the TU scoring with 82-78=160 which has him in 91st.

The final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday morning.
