CARROLLTON, Ga. --- The Tusculum University men's golf team shot a final round 305 to finish with 908 and finish fifth at the 2022 Matt Dyas Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was held at the par-72, 7,026-yard Oak Mountain Golf Course and hosted by the University of West Georgia.

Union (Tenn.) posted the low score of the day with a 297 and win the tournament with a team total of 888. Missouri-St. Louis was second with 895, followed by Shorter (898), Georgia College (907), Tusculum (908), West Georgia (911), Delta State (918), Montevallo (920) and Mississippi College (920).

Shorter's Blake Henriques won medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 214 (-2) to win by two shots over runner-up Pongbhop Jamornsrianan (216) of Delta State, who made a final round charge with a four-under par 68.

Tusculum's Elvis Steen, who is competing as an individual competitor, was the top finisher for the Pioneers as he finished with 225 including a final round 79 to place 11^th. Riley Brown moved up six spots on the leaderboard as he carded 77-74-75=226 to tie for 12^th place.

Nicholas Taggeart finished 18^th with 74-78-76=228, Thomas Kollberg tied for 23^rd with 77-71-82=230, Cole Haygood tallied 83-74-75=232 to tie for 27^th and Isak Holter finished 42^nd with 89-73-79=241. Liam Hermansson, playing as an individual, shot 83-84-78=245, good enough for 48^th place.

This wraps up the fall portion of the Tusculum schedule. The Pioneers return to action Feb. 20-21 when they travel to Dade City, Florida for the Saint Leo Invitational.
