LOUDON, Tenn. --- The Tusculum men's golf team posted a two-day score of 634 to finish 14^th at the Tennessee River Rumble which was held this week at the Tennessee National Golf Club.

The Pioneers posted a final round scored of 316 to follow up Tuesday's 318.

Carson-Newman rallied from an 11-shot deficit and climbed nine spots up the leaderboard to win the team title.  The Eagles posted a 36-hole score of 602 including Wednesday's final round 291 to edge host Lincoln Memorial by two shots (604).  Wingate was third with 606 while King placed fourth with 608. Young Harris was fifth with 609, followed by Belmont Abbey (610), Lenoir-Rhyne (613), Mars Hill (619), Brevard (620), Catawba (621), Walters State (623), Hillsdale (627), Belmont Abbey B (633), Tusculum (634), LMU B (644) and Belmont Abbey C (701).

LMU's Dan Bradbury captured medalist honors with his 36-hole total of 75-71=146, winning by two shots over Liam Purslowe of Hillsdale (71-77=148) and Carson-Newman's Jake Headrick (75-73=148).

Tusculum rookie Bennett Noe posted the best round on the team with his three-over par 75 to finish with 156 and tie for 41^st place.  Noe, who started on the 10^th hole, shot a four over par 40 on his outward nine, but followed with a one-under par 35 on his second nine which included three consecutive birdies on holes 2-4.

Senior Brandon Alexander finished with 76-82=158 to tie for 48^th place, while Matthew Kowalksi (79-81=160) and David Whinery (82-78=160) tied for 58^th.  TC rookie Carter Simon finished 85^th with 90-92=182.

Tusculum returns to action this Sunday for the opening round of the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Championship, which will be held at Cobb's Glen Country Club in Anderson, South Carolina.
