Pioneers receiving votes in Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches' Poll

NORMAN, Okla. --- The Tusculum College men's golf team is receiving votes in this week's Division II Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches' Poll announced officials Friday.

The Pioneers are receiving 22 total points and are one of five South Atlantic Conference programs mentioned in this week's poll.

After finishing 12th at the Kiawah Island Invitational to open the season, Tusculum has bounced back with team titles at the Etowah Intercollegiate and this week's Tusculum Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club.

West Florida climbed five spots to take over the No. 1 ranking in the poll as the Argonauts received 437 points, including eight first place votes.  Florida Southern remains second in the country, followed by Barry, Lynn and Nova Southeastern to round out the top-five.  Chico State is sixth, followed by Saint Leo, USC Aiken, Lee, Missouri-St. Louis, North Alabama, California Baptist, CSU-Monterey Bay, Central Oklahoma, Rollins, Florida Tech, Central Missouri, Valdosta State, St. Mary's (Texas), Columbus State, Carson-Newman, Limestone, Lander, Oklahoma Christian and Flagler. 

Joining the Pioneers in receiving votes are SAC members Lincoln Memorial, Newberry and Lenoir-Rhyne.

Tusculum returns to action (Oct. 11-12) as TC competes at the State Farm Intercollegiate in Tazwell, Tennessee.
