SUNSET BEACH, N.C. --- Tusculum's Chase Carroll fired a three-day total of 215, including Sunday's final round 68 to finish tied for fourth at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate. The Pioneers shot 290 in the final round to post 894 over the 54-hole tournament and finished 12th in the NCAA Division I dominated field.

Carroll's one-under par 215 was three shots off the pace set by tournament medalist Steve Dressel of host Elon.

Murray State led wire-to-wire with 868, 10 shots better than Guilford. Belmont Abbey and Elon tied for third with 880, followed by James Madison (885), Wofford (886), Tennessee Tech (887), Appalachian State (888), USC Upstate (890), Stetson (892), Radford (893), Tusculum, Bethune-Cookman (898), Houston Baptist (899), UNC Pembroke (906), South Carolina State (922), High Point (927) and Hampton (954).

Tusculum's Darren Christie improved in each of his three rounds, including Sunday's one-under par 71 to finish at 224 to tie for 36th. Lawson George and Jake Scheffers each fired 231 to tie for 66th, while Houston White carded a 234 to tie for 73rd to round out the Tusculum scoring.

The Pioneers return to Sep. 29-30 when they host the Tusculum Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club.
