WHITE LAKE, N.C. --- The Tusculum College men's golf team posted a two-day score of 308-306=614 to finish 10th at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate, held this weekend at the 6,925-yard, Par 72 Carolina Sands Golf Club.

Senior Chase Carroll led the charge for Tusculum as he finished tied for 13th with a two-day 145, including Sunday's one-under par 71. For Carroll, it marks his eighth sub-par round of the season and 16th of his stellar career, two shy of the all-time school mark held by former TC standout Brent Dyson.

Coker and Barton finished in a tie for the team title at 567. Coker won championship in a playoff, led by tournament medalist Christopher Marsh. Marsh also had to go into a playoff with Barton's Thomas Muto, Jr.

Mount Olive finished third with 578, followed by Queens University of Charlotte (579), Brevard (583), host UNC Pembroke (593), St. Andrews Presbyterian (597), Catawba (600), Lenoir-Rhyne (610), Tusculum, Virginia State (623), Cape Fear (624), Shenandoah (643), Ferrum (663), Chowan (697) and North Carolina Wesleyan (DNF).

Tusculum's Lawson George tied for 30th with his 76-74=150, while Glenn Vicary finished 54th with 79-78=157. Justin Harvey tied for 68th with 79-83=162, while Darren Christie posted 87-84=171 (T80th).

The Pioneers return to action Apr. 20-21 when they play in the South Atlantic Conference Championship at Etowah, N.C.
