CARROLL FINISHES FOURTH, MEN'S GOLF 12TH AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE INTERCOLLEGIATE

Chase Carroll PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. --- Tusculum's Chase Carroll fired a two-day total of 144 to finish fourth overall at the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate Invitational. The Pioneers shot 321 on the second day of the 36-hole tournament to finish 11th with a two-day total of 625.

Carroll's even par total of 144 was six shots off the pace set by tournament medalist Will Wilcox of Clayton State, who fired a 66 on the second day to claim the individual title.

Columbus State (585) captured the tournament title with a second day total of 293 to beat out Clayton State (589) by four strokes. Lander (590) finished third, followed by Armstrong Atlantic (592), Newberry (607), Lincoln Memorial (609), North Greenville (618), Cape Fear CC (618), Southeast Oklahoma State (620), Catawba (622), Georgia Southwestern (625), Tusculum, Southern Wesleyan (643), Wingate (644), Lenoir-Rhyne (644), and Faulkner (664).

Tusculum's Darren Christie and Lawson George tied for 37th at 157, while Matt McIntyre and Jake Scheffers tied for 69th at 169.

The Pioneers return to the course Mar. 2-3 at the Richard Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College.
