GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. --- Tusculum University's Tyler Moore went 1-1 to finish as a national quarterfinalist at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship, which is being held at the Spectrum Entertainment Complex.
Moore, a junior from Lebanon, Tennessee, went 2-1 overall in the championship bracket as the No. 9 seed, which included Tuesday's first round victory and followed with Wednesday's 600-544 decision over No. 8 seed Joshua Imhoff of Oklahoma Christian in a three-game total pinfall elimination match.
Moore would face top-seeded Alec Keplinger of Wichita State and dropped a narrow 568-556 decision in the national quarterfinal.
Moore earned a spot at the ISC Nationals by finishing runner-up at the ISC Smyrna Sectional last month in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Leading the Pioneers in their inaugural season, Moore was named to three All-Tournament teams.
