Mason Theile was named to the Tusculum Men’s Basketball coaching staff in July 2021 as a graduate assistant coach.
He assists in all aspects of the program including planning and facilitation of individual player development, team practices and strength and conditioning. He also works with budget planning, travel, academic advisement, fundraising and team building event planning.
He previously served as an Assistant Coach at Byron Center High School (Mich.) from 2019-2021. He also served as junior varsity head coach and was a special education para-educator. He was also an assistant coach at West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan from 2015-2017.
His coaching experience includes working as an instructor with PGC Basketball, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and as a Strength and Conditioning Intern with Elite Performance and Fitness (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
He is a member of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
He is a 2019 graduate of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he played two seasons on the basketball team. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology and is pursuing his Master’s Degree at Tusculum in sports administration.
