ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University guard Connor Jordan has been named to the 2024 All-South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball second team announced league officials.
Jordan, a senior from Morristown, Tennessee, is TU's leading scorer this season averaging 16.5 points per game which is 15th in the conference. He also leads the Pioneers in assists per game (2.9 apg – 20th in SAC) and steals per contest (1.5 spg – 9th in SAC). He is averaging 32 minutes per game and is also grabbing 3.0 rebounds per outing.
Jordan has started in all 26 games this season where he has scored in double figures on 22 occasions including 10 times with 20 or more points. He poured in a career-best 29 points in Tusculum's 84-81 road win at Carson-Newman last month. He has tallied 25 points twice this year at Wingate in January and last Wednesday in a home win over UVA Wise.
He is shooting 43 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free throw line. His 84.8 free throw percentage in his two years at Tusculum is currently ranked fourth-best in program history.
Including his two seasons at King University, Jordan has scored 1,104 points during his 96-game collegiate career. He has also amassed 279 rebounds, 236 assists and 111 steals in his career.
Tusculum (14-12) finished fifth in the final SAC standings and will face No. 4 seed Carson-Newman on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in a quarterfinal contest of the SAC Championship which is being held in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
