Reed Smith was named to the Tusculum University football coaching staff in Summer 2024 where he will coach TU's outside linebackers.
He spent the past two seasons on the coaching staff at NCAA Division I East Tennessee State University. While at ETSU, he served as the Defensive Quality Control Coach with the Bucs as the defense produced All-Southern Conference standouts Alijah Huzzie, Sheldon Arnold and Chris Hope, along with SoCon All-Freshman Team selection Jayvon Henderson. He also worked with the ETSU offensive line during the 2024 spring season.
The Bogart, Georgia native played his collegiate career at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama where he played 13 games on the offensive line. He was a member of three USA South Conference Championship teams in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
He graduated from Huntingdon in 2022 with his Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in mathematics.
