Malik Goodman joined the Tusculum coaching staff in 2020 after completing an outstanding playing career with the Pioneers. He serves as the team's defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator.

During the COVID abbreviated spring campaign in 2021, he served as a defensive graduate assistant as the Pioneers went 4-1 and won the South Atlantic Conference Championship. The Tusculum defense limited its opponents to 17.6 points per game, while holding teams to 311.2 toal yards per contest including a league-low 84 rushing yards per game.

Goodman, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, was a two-time All-South Atlantic Conference standout where he played in 39 career games with the Pioneers. He recorded 193 career tackles including 14 for loss and three sacks. He accounted for 19 passes defended, which are tied for the 10th-most in program history. He also tallied three interceptions, forced two fumbles, while also recovering two fumbles.

He earned All-Super Region 2 honors in 2018 as he tallied 48 tackles including five for loss with a sack, one interception, a fumble and two pass break-ups. He earned SAC Defensive Player of the Week honors as he posted eight tackles and forced a critical fourth quarter fumble to preserve a 31-28 win over Mars Hill.

In his senior season, he posted All-SAC honors for a second straight year as he made 47 stops with one interception and three passes defended.

He graduated from Tusculum 2020 with an undergraduate degree in criminal justice. He completed his graduate degree from Tusculum in 2021 in sports administration.
