HICKORY, N.C. --- Due to inclement weather, this weekend's South Atlantic Conference baseball series between Tusculum and Lenoir-Rhyne has been altered.
The three-game series will begin on Saturday at 4 p.m. with a doubleheader from Durham Field on the Hickory, North Carolina campus. The series will wrap up on Monday with a 3 p.m. contest.
Tusculum (22-15, 9-8 SAC) is riding a three-game winning streak including Tuesday's 9-4 road win at Emory & Henry. The Pioneers are in sixth place in the conference.
Lenoir-Rhyne (30-8, 12-3 SAC) is ranked 16th in the latest NCAA Division II Coaches' Poll and are tied for second in the league standings. The Bears have won eight in a row including a 5-3 home win over second-ranked and defending NCAA national champion North Greenville on Tuesday.
