GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University has announced the dates for the 22nd annual Collegiate and Pro Showcase Baseball Camp which will be held the weekend of Nov. 5-6 on the Greeneville campus.
The camp allows top athletes from the 2023-2026 high school graduating classes and uncommitted junior college and four-year college transfer players to showcase their talents to many of the top collegiate scouts. Players will participate in skill tests ranging from: fielding, hitting, arm strength and the 60-yard dash.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to work closely with college coaches and scouts who can provide a true assessment of their playing ability. Previous showcase attendees have signed with schools from conferences such as: South Atlantic (SAC), Southeastern (SEC), Atlantic Coast (ACC), Southern (SoCon), Sun Belt, Big Ten, Big South and Colonial. The cost of the two-day Showcase Camp is $175 with a deposit of $50 if received by October 31st. For uncommitted junior college players, it will be a one-day Showcase (Saturday – Oct. 29) with a cost of $75. Reservations after October 31st will be $195 and $95 for the one-day JUCO Showcase. Pre-Registration will take place on Saturday, November 5th between 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at Pioneer Park. The baseball stadium is located on the Tusculum campus adjacent to the football stadium.
In response to numerous requests each year from parents and players alike, Tusculum University Baseball will provide an extra feature for interested participants. A personalized player evaluation sheet that will be completed by our Coaches and mailed to each interested participant. It will include arm strength grades, hitting evaluation, running times, and velocities of pitchers. The year the evaluation will be accompanied with analytical metrics of each participant. These will be measured by industry leading technology including TrackMan. The cost of this extra feature is $50. Please circle on the registration form if you would like to take advantage of this feature.
Each participant is responsible for his own food and provide lodging during the weekend of the Showcase. Tusculum will have a concession area available during the event for your convenience. The official hotel for the Tusculum Showcase is the Hampton Inn (423-638-3735).
