ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College will be the No. 3 seed at the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament and will face fourth-seeded Lincoln Memorial University this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The eight-team tournament is being held at McNair Field in Forest City, North Carolina.

Tusculum has qualified for the SAC Baseball Tournament in each of the program's 16 seasons as a member of the South Atlantic Conference.

The Pioneers will be vying for their fourth SAC Tournament title in program history. TC has won the SAC Tournament in 2005, 2008 and 2012.

Catawba College will be the No. 1 seed in this year's tournament after winning SAC Championship. Newberry College is the No. 2 seed and enters the tournament riding a 13-game winning streak. Tusculum and Lincoln Memorial are seeded third and fourth, respectively to comprise the top half of the seeded teams.

Wingate University is the No. 5 seed in this year's tournament as the Bulldogs lead the nation in home runs. Anderson University is sixth, followed by No. 7 seed Brevard College and No. 8 Carson-Newman University.

The SAC Tournament begins this Thursday with a pair of single-elimination games at McNair Field. At 4 p.m., Wingate and Carson-Newman will square off the first elimination game, while Anderson and Brevard close out day one with a 7 p.m. contest.

The double-elimination portion of the tournament begins on Friday with Thursday's winners moving on to face the top-two seeds. Top-seed Catawba will take on the lowest seed remaining at noon, while No. 2 Newberry will face the highest seeded winner from Thursday's elimination games at 3:45 p.m. Tusculum and Lincoln Memorial will close out Friday's action at 7:30 p.m.

The SAC Tournament will run through Monday where the championship game is slated to start at 1 p.m. The winner of the tournament will earn the league's automatic berth to next month's NCAA Division II Tournament.
