FOREST CITY, N.C. --- Tusculum College's Trey Drewery and Heath Comerford were named to the 2014 South Atlantic Conference Baseball All-Tournament Team.

Drewery, a senior outfielder from Vale, N.C., hit 8-for-16 for a .500 batting average, which was the fifth-highest in the tournament. His eight total hits and 11 total bases were tied for the second most in the tournament field. He scored a pair of runs and hit a three-run homer in the SAC Tournament opener against Wingate University.

Comerford, a senior first baseman from Athens, Tenn., posted a SAC Tournament-best three doubles and four walks in his four tournament contests. He went 5-for-14 at the plate (.357) and recorded five RBI, the second highest tally in the tournament.

Drewery leads the South Atlantic Conference with his 48 runs scored this season and also leads the Pioneers with 59 hits, 39 RBI and tied for the team-lead with four home runs. On the year, Drewery is batting .337 with 13 doubles, 24 walks and four stolen bases.

Comerford is listed amongst the national leaders in walks with 47, which are the second-most in a Tusculum single-season. He is hitting just below .300 this year where he has posted 46 hits, including a team-best 16 doubles, one triple and four home runs. He has 37 RBI and his 403 fielding put outs are the sixth most in Tusculum history.

The Pioneers (28-21) finished third in the SAC Tournament going 2-2 on the weekend. Tusculum dropped an 8-7 decision to Wingate on the opening day, but bounced back with an 8-6 extra-inning win over Anderson University and advanced to Championship Sunday with an 8-4 victory against Newberry College. TC came up one win shy of advancing to the SAC Tournament Championship, falling to eventual runner-up Wingate 3-0.

Tusculum will close out its regular season this weekend with a three-game series with Bluefield State College. The series begins on Saturday with a 6:30 p.m. contest against the Big Blues at Pioneer Park. Saturday is "Pack the Park for Education" Night as their will be music, games and fun for all starting at 3:30 p.m. prior to the game.
