ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College outfielder Trey Drewery has been named the South Atlantic Conference Baseball Player of the Week announced College officials Tuesday.
Drewery, a senior from Vale, N.C., batted .429 with a pair of doubles and a home run in leading Tusculum to a 3-1 record last week, including a weekend series win over Coker College.
Drewery hit .545 in the Coker series, including his 4-for-4 performance in the series opener as the Pioneers rallied from a 6-0 deficit to win 9-6 in 10 innings. In that game, Drewery posted a pair of doubles, two walks, one RBI and scored three times.
In Tusculum's 5-1 win over the Cobras, Drewery provided all the offense TC would need with his two-run homer in the third inning.
Drewery is batting .373 on the season and leads the South Atlantic Conference with 41 runs scored.
