YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. --- Zach Wall's grand slam sparked a six-run inning as Young Harris College rallied to a 12-9 victory over visiting Tusculum College Tuesday afternoon in college baseball action at Zell Miller Field.

The Mountain Lions (20-16) rallied from deficits of 4-0 and 9-6 to record their first-ever win over the Pioneers (22-13).

Tusculum out-hit Young Harris by a 14-7 margin, but the Mountain Lions drew eight walks, including three in the six-run, seventh frame.

TC scored four times in the third inning as Pioneers pounded out five hits, including a two-run single by Chris Waylock and RBI hits by Vinny Ferrara and Chris Waylock.

The Mountain Lions answered with six runs (5 unearned) in the bottom of the inning thanks to three hits and a TC fielding error as YHC took its first lead of the game at 6-4.

TC cut the deficit in half with a run in the fifth inning and regained the lead with a four-run, sixth inning to lead 9-6. John Topoleski provided the big hit of the sixth with his two-run single.

The Mountain Lions batted around in the seventh inning and scored five of their six runs with two outs in the seventh inning, including Wall's grand slam, his fifth home run of the year.

YHC reliever James Mills pitched three shutout innings to pick up the win to move his record to 3-2.

Topoleski went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Jeremiah Tullidge, Scott Gibson and Ferrara all accounted for two-hit performances. Every TC starter finished with a hit, including four doubles.

The Pioneers return to South Atlantic Conference play this weekend when they travel to Brevard College for a three-game series beginning with Friday's 3 p.m. opener.
