MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. --- Tusculum College first baseman Cody Coffman has been named to the 2012 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional All-Tournament team announced officials Sunday.

Coffman, a senior from Cape Coral, Fla., batted .533 during this week's Southeast Regional. He went 8-for-15 with four RBI, including two home runs and a triple.

Joining Coffman on the All-Tournament are Catawba's Julio Zubillaga, Greg Lawson, Cameron Beard, Ryan Bostian, John Tuttle and Ross Whitley. Francis Marion had two honorees including Michael Wilson and Buddy Sosnoskie.

Coffman finished the year with a team-best batting average of .417, while recording 90 hits, including 19 doubles, a triple, nine home runs and 62 RBI. He also finished with 41 walks, against only 17 strikeouts as he was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team as a catcher and the Daktronics All-Southeast Region First Team as a utility player.

Coffman has also been recognized for his achievement and is a member of the Capital One Academic All-District First Team.

Tusculum (48-10) finished third in this year's regional as the Pioneers went 2-2 during the double-elimination regional. Tusculum's 48 wins are the second most in school history in the one of the best baseball campaigns ever at Tennessee's oldest college. TC captured both the South Atlantic Conference regular season and SAC Tournament titles, while advancing to the NCAA Tournament for a sixth time in school history.
