It was an early day for our ball club as we met at 8 a.m. in preparation for heading to Aiken, S.C. and the NCAA Tournament. We were fed biscuits for breakfast and loaded the bus for our 8:30 a.m. departure on our usual Greene Coach bus. The five-hour journey to Aiken allowed us to take advantage of yet another road trip by joking around and the typical making fun of each other. My two favorite movies, "Taken" and "Green Street Hooligans", was on for those that weren't apart of the ridiculing. The bus stopped in Columbia, S.C. for a crowded yet satisfying lunch at Chick-Fil-A. We arrived at our destination, the Fairfield Inn around 2 p.m. were we had limited time to rest until we departed for our scheduled practice at the stadium.

Typical Coach Jones, always trying to prepare us for practice and the tournament. We wore our black hats, black shirts and thick gray pants to help get used to the heat of South Carolina. We made the most of the hour we had schedule by having high energy and keeping an enjoyable and fun atmosphere. We had about an hour and a half before we went and gorged ourselves at Golden Corral. After dinner, we all headed back to the hotel for the rest of the night. We played cards, whiffle ball, swimming and playing some old school Nintendo 64. We have curfew at 11 p.m. to allow us to rest so we can maker our presence known tomorrow as we open tournament play. Time to get focused for Francis Marion.
