TUCSON, Ariz. --- The Tusculum College baseball team
dropped seven spots and is tied for 19th in this week's
Collegiate Baseball Magazine Division II Coaches Poll. The
Pioneers (36-16) won three of their five SAC Tournament games last
weekend, while advancing to Sunday's championship series.
Barry is the new No. 1 team in the land, moving up three spots
from fourth. South Arkansas and Ashland and are tied for second,
followed by USC Aiken, UC San Diego, Cameron, West Alabama, Emporia
State, West Chester and Sonoma State to round out the top 10.
Florida Southern is listed 11th, followed by Mesa State, Georgia
College & State, Francis Marion, Delta State, Angelo State, UT
Permian Basin, Tampa, Tusculum, Central Missouri State, Western
Oregon, Catawba, Southern Indiana, Wayne State (Neb.), Cal State
Los Angeles, Abilene Christian, Mercyhurst, UNC Pembroke,
Alabama-Huntsville and Slippery Rock.
The Pioneers now await word of a possible at-large bid to next
month's NCAA Division II Tournament. The tournament bracket will be
announced Sunday, May 10th.
