Nylander named Director of Athletic Development & Revenue Generation

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Rasmus Nylander has been named Tusculum University's Director of Athletic Development and Revenue Generation announced Josh Ealy, Vice President of Athletics.

Nylander is responsible for leading the fundraising efforts for the Tusculum athletic department including major gifts, annual fund gifts, gifts to capital projects and athletic alumni relations.

The focus of his position is to lead and oversee development, revenue generation areas, and work with marketing unit of the athletic department, providing integral direction and leadership towards achievement of local, regional and national engagement, exposure and revenue goals and initiatives.

Nylander also leads the Pioneer Club, which works to raised funds for the athletic department through connections with parents, alumni, staff and other supporters of the University.

Nylander joined the Tusculum staff last August as an administrative graduate assistant within the athletic department. He worked in all aspects of game day operations which included ticket sales, security coordination and venue preparation for athletic events. He organized and executed game promotions, halftime entertainment and enhanced audience engagement. He partnered with sponsors on marketing initiatives, fostered relationships, promoted game day events and improved brand visibility.

"I am excited to elevate Rasmus to this role within the department. He has a passion for Tusculum that will resonate with our alumni and community partners. I look forward to working with him to grow and cultivate the Pioneer Club," said Ealy.

He served as a digital asset marketing intern for Americana Grills by Meco Corporation from 2023-2024. He managed omnichannel content to align with brand strategy and engage target audiences.

"I am grateful to Josh Ealy and Tusculum University for this outstanding opportunity," said Nylander. "I have enjoyed my four years at Tusculum and as a member of the Greeneville community. Tusculum is a special place and I look forward in strengthening our department's relationships with our alumni, faculty, staff and the local community."

Nylander was a member of the Tusculum men's soccer program for three seasons (2021-23). He was a member of the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.

He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 2024 from Tusculum where he graduated with cum laude honors. He was also the 2024 recipient of the Senior Key Award in Entrepreneurship.

Nylander graduated with high honors while completing his Master of Business Administration degree from Tusculum this past May.
