GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum men's soccer forward Clarenns Sainrimat and women's soccer forward Addison Rishling have been named the Zaxby's Athletes of the Week.
Sainrimat scored two goals and assisted on another as the Pioneers defeated Emory & Henry 5-1 on Wednesday for their first victory of the season. Sainrimat scored on a penalty kick in the first half and added another goal in the second half which gave the Pioneers a 4-0 lead.
The freshman from Marcoussis, France leads the Pioneers in goals (4), assists (2), points (10) and shots on goal (11). Three of Sainrimat's four goals have come in South Atlantic Conference matches.
Rishling recorded two goals in back-to-back matches against Emory & Henry and Limestone, scoring both goals in the second half in each game to rally the Pioneers from a 1-0 deficit. On Wednesday, Rishling scored in the 61st and 88th minutes to boost the Pioneers to a 2-1 win, and then scored in the 73rd and 76th minutes to give Tusculum a 2-1 lead at Limestone on Sunday.
A freshman from Wonder Lake, Illinois, Rishling leads the Pioneers and ranks fourth in the SAC in goals with six, and is tied for eighth in the conference with a team-best 12 points. She leads the team with 12 shots on goal.
