GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum punter Stefaan Forbes and middle blocker Martina Foster have been named the initial Zaxby's Athletes of the Week for the 2024-25 season.
Forbes, a senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma, averaged 43.6 yards on seven punts for the Pioneers in Saturday's game at West Alabama, with a long of 52 yards and four inside the 20-yard line. It is the ninth time in program history that a Tusculum punter dropped four inside the 20 in a game, which is tied for the fourth-most in program history. Three of Forbes' punts ended up inside the UWA 10.
Foster, a junior from Hickory, North Carolina, recorded 28 kills and hit a team-high .351 as the Pioneer women's volleyball team opened the 2024 season by going 2-2 at the Redderson Invitational in Greenwood, South Carolina. She also led the team with seven service aces and 12 blocks across 15 sets. In a 3-2 comeback win against North Greenville, Foster had 11 kills along with five aces, five digs and five blocks.
