
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum bowlers Tyler Moore and Allison Robbins have been named the Zaxby's Athletes of the Week.
Moore, a graduate student from Lebanon, Tennessee, bowled a six-game total of 1,258 pins as he finished 22nd individually at the Brandon Burns Memorial. He averaged 209.7 per game as he opened with 220 and followed with games of 185, 223, 217, 225 and 188. Moore led the Pioneers to a ninth place finish in the tournament standings in the 18-team field.
Robbins, a sophomore from Flint, Michigan, claimed the individual title at last weekend's ISTAP Hornet Classic, the first tournament MVP honors in the women's program history. She averaged 195.0 including a 235 game against Alabama A&M and finished with 209 versus host Alabama State. She won the individual title by 12 pins as Tusculum finished runner-up in the team standings for the tournament.
The Tusculum University Athlete of the Week Award is sponsored by Zaxby's, located at 3280 Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville. The Zaxby's Athlete of the Week Award honors one male and one female athlete each week from an in-season sport.
