GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum tennis coach Tommy Arnett recorded his 100th combined South Atlantic Conference victory with the Pioneers as the TC women's team defeated visiting Lenoir-Rhyne, 7-2 Friday at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

For Arnett, who is in his 10th season at Tusculum, he has posted a 52-9 SAC record with the women's team and a 49-11 league worksheet with the men (including Friday's 7-2 win over L-R as well), giving him a combined 101-20 SAC mark (.835).

Tusculum (5-2, 1-0 SAC) captured two of the three doubles, including an 8-1 pro set win at the third flight by the duo of Megan Buckmaster and Blake Thompson over LRU's Lizzie Warlick and Amanda Young. Katie Hillis and Kristen Keefer also posted an 8-3 victory against Cathryn Jarrett and Ivey Tant at No. 2 doubles. LRU's lone doubles point came at the top flight as Kelsey Love and Emily Mauser outlasted Courtney Conley and Taylor Patterson in a 9-8 marathon.

Tusculum regained the momentum when Buckmaster posted a straight set (6-0, 6-1) win at No. 3 singles. Love recorded the Bears' second point of the afternoon with a 6-4, 6-4 win at the No. 2 flight. Conley bounced back from her doubles setback and rallied from a set down to defeat Mauser, 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.

Thompson recorded the deciding point for the Pioneers with her 6-2, 6-0 triumph at the fifth flight. Keefer and Hillis also followed with singles victories to seal the win.

Arnett is also closing in on another milestone as he needs five more victories for his 300th combined Tusculum win. He is presently 295-103 at Tusculum (Men = 137-60; Women = 158-43).

Tusculum returns to action Monday morning at 8 a.m. as the Pioneers face Southeast Region foe UNC Pembroke in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
