Women's Lacrosse

Sydney Starkey joined the Tusculum women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2021.

Starkey recently completed her bachelor of science degree in biology from North Greenville University, where she was a member of the women's lacrosse team. During the 2021 season, Starkey scored four goals and had two assists for six points in seven matches.

Starkey was team manager for North Greenville during the 2019-20 season after transferring from Lees-McRae College. The Boiling Springs, South Carolina native was a team captain for the Crusaders during the 2021 season and was vice-president of the Leadership Council.

At Lees-McRae, Starkey was a member of the Bobcats during the 2018 season and had four goals and two assists for six points in 12 matches, with one of her goals coming against the Pioneers in a Tusculum victory. She also attended Coastal Carolina University during the spring of 2019, where she was a member of the club lacrosse program.

Starkey has been employed as a jet ski guide for Myrtle Beach Watersports since the summer of 2018, where she gave dolphin tours and managed pontoon boat operations. Starkey has also volunteered her time interacting with patients at Prisma Health Children's Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina and has cleaned and repainted homes for community projects.
