CORAL GABLES, Fla. --- Five Tusculum University student-athletes have been named All-America Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Earning WGCA All-America Scholar recognition are: Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen, Delfin Filiz, Maylei Hildenbrand, Annabelle Mozingo and Reagan Padilla.
Criteria for selection to be a WGCA All-America Scholar includes: 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the 2024-25 academic year.
Bergh-Jacobsen earns WGCA All-America Scholar laurels for a second straight year. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Tusculum in May 2024 where she graduated with cum laude honors. She has a 3.97 GPA in graduate school while completing her MBA. She is a member of the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, TU Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List. She is a two-time recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award and was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large first team last spring.
Bergh-Jacobsen, a graduate student from Baerum, Norway, recorded 17 competitive rounds and finished with an 84.29 stroke average. She finished with an 83.76 career scoring average is tied for the 17th-lowest in the TU record book.
Filiz, a sophomore from Belfast, Northern Ireland, has a 3.84 GPA while majoring in exercise science. She is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
Filiz finished third on the team with her 82.35 stroke average as she qualified for seven tournaments and logged 17 competitive rounds. She finished in the top-10 on two occasions including 10th at the Emmanuel Spring Invitational and tied for eighth at the Agnes McAmis Memorial. She recorded a season-low 73 in the opening round of the McAmis Memorial and followed that performance with a 30th-place finish at the SAC Championship.
Hildenbrand, a freshman from Greeneville, Tennessee, accounted for a 3.96 GPA at the end of her rookie campaign. The South Greene High School product is majoring in business and is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Athletic Director's Honor Roll, President's List, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
Hildenbrand had the second-lowest scoring average on the team at 77.65 which is the third-best by a TU freshman. She qualified for all eight tournaments and logged six top-20 performances including a pair of top-10 outings. She placed ninth at the St. Simons Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 77-74-74=225). She finished 10th at the Anderson-Erskine Kickoff as she carded a season-low 73-77-73=223. She finished 11th at the King Invitational as well as the Battle at Hilton Head. She finished 13th at the McAmis Memorial and 39th at the SAC Championship.
Mozingo, a junior from Jacksonville, Florida, has a 3.51 GPA while majoring in sport science. She is a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. She is also a recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
Mozingo's 83.15 stroke average was fourth on the club as she posted a pair of top-25 finishes including 21st at the McAmis Memorial and 28th at the King Invitational. She carded a season-low 75 in the final round of The Battle at Hilton Head.
Padilla, a junior from Gallatin, Tennessee, earns WGCA All-America Scholar distinction for a third consecutive season. The two-time CSC Academic All-District selection is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Dean's List, Charles Oliver Gray Honors List and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She is also a two-time recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award.
Padilla established a new single-season record with her 75.35 stroke average, edging the previous mark of 75.40 she set in 2023-24. She qualified as a competitor at the NCAA II South Region Championship where she finished 53rd. That ended a remarkable run for her as her string of 22 consecutive top-20 performances dating back to her freshman season. She finished the year with eight top-20 finishes including six times in the top-10 and a pair of top-five outings. She finished fourth at the 2025 SAC Championship earning All-Tournament accolades in back-to-back seasons.
Padilla's 76.38 career scoring average is the second-lowest ever by a Pioneer. She has accounted for 22 top-20 finishes which are sixth in program history. She is also fourth in the TU record book with her 11 top-five performances and 17 finishes in the top-10. She has logged 73 competitive rounds which are listed 15th-most in TU history.
The Pioneers finished the year with a 3.759 team grade point average which was the highest of Tusculum's 23 varsity programs.
