ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team carded a final round 317 to finish in a tie for fifth place at the 2020 Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate.  The Pioneers posted a two-day total 657, improving two spots and 33 strokes from Monday's opening round.

The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held at The Golf Club at South Hampton on the par-72, 5,958-yard golf course.

The Tusculum trio of Olivia Cunningham, Jennifer Keim and Yen Xuan Ong each shot 78 in Tuesday's final round as TU's 317 was the third-lowest score of the day.

Wingate won the team title as the Bulldogs held off a final day charge by Saint Leo, finish with a 36-hole total 613, two shots better than the Lions (615).  Belmont Abbey finished third with 651 while Emmanuel shot 653.  Tusculum and Newberry tied for fifth place with 657, followed by Erskine (670), Lincoln Memorial (675), King (682), North Greenville (684), Christian Brothers (698), Southern Wesleyan (701) and Coker (772).

Wingate's Warissa Puaangcharoen captured medalist honors with 75-74=149, winning by a one shot better than Saint Leo's Isabel Nesteus (72-78=150) and Wingate teammate Hailey McLaughlin (74-76=150).

Cunningham finished tied for 15^th place with 161, while Keim tied for 17^th place with her 36-hole tally of 162.  Ong was 21^st with 163, followed by Hannah Brown's 171 (T38) and Taylor Gransen's 181 (T54).

The Pioneers have place fifth or better in all five its tournaments this season.  TU returns to action next month (Mar. 2-3) at the Low Country Invitational in Bluffton, South Carolina.
