GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Callie Patterson led six players in double figures with a season-high 21 points as Tusculum University rolled to a 94-62 victory over Queens University of Charlotte in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Arena.

Patterson made a career-best five three-pointers in seven attempts to finish one shy of her career high for points as the Pioneers (5-2, 1-2 SAC) showed no rust following a two-week layoff by shooting a season-best 52.2 percent (35-for-67) from the field, including 10-for-22 from three-point range.

Mia Long added a season-high 16 points and four steals, Jalia Arnwine chipped in with a season-best 12 points, Marta Rodrigues had her top-scoring game of the season with 11 points and Jasmine Williams set a career high with 10 points to go along with eight rebounds. Yolizma Cupidan also had 10 points as the Pioneers put six players in double figures for the first time since Jan. 13, 2009 in a 107-53 win over North Greenville.

Lade Adepoju led the Royals (4-5, 0-4 SAC) with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists, but Queens shot 37.5 percent (21-for-56) from the field and turned the ball over 22 times which led to 30 points for Tusculum.

The Pioneers dressed just nine players against the Royals, but each scored at least one field goal and came up with one steal in the victory. Lovely Locklear came off the bench to score eight points and dish out a game and career-high six assists, Kendrea Duke shared the game high in rebounds with Williams at eight, and Mya Belton chipped in with two points and two steals in six minutes of action.

Patterson shot 8-for-12 from the field and nailed five three-pointers in seven attempts, including 4-for-5 in the second half when she scored 12 points in 14 minutes of playing time. The Pioneers scored 50 second-half points on 18-for-31 shooting from the field (58.1 percent), connecting on 7-for-13 from beyond the arc.

Tusculum trailed for the first 4 1/2 minutes as Queens jumped to an early 6-2 lead, but the Pioneers ran off six points in a row to take their first lead at 8-6 on a layup by Long with 4:25 left in the first quarter. After the game was tied at 8-8 and again at 10-10, the Pioneers scored seven of the final eight points of the quarter to take a 17-11 lead on a three-pointer by Rodrigues with 17 seconds left in the period.

The run for Tusculum stretched out to 12-1 early in the second quarter as Patterson scored the first five points of the frame. The Pioneers eventually went ahead 30-13 on two free throws by Long with 5:34 left in the quarter, capping the run at 20-3 before Jaleah Groff broke a field-goal drought for Queens at more than eight minutes and eight missed shots in a row. Tusculum added an 11-1 run in the final three minutes to carry a 44-20 lead into halftime.

Cupidan led all players with 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting in the first half for the Pioneers, while Long and Patterson had nine points each. Rodrigues collected eight points on 3-for-5 from the field, with a pair of three-pointers, and Tusculum finished with a 25-16 edge in rebounding over Queens in the opening 20 minutes. Kristian Eanes was the leading scorer for the Royals with six points, as Queens shot 7-for-28 (25 percent) from the field and turned the ball over 11 times. The Pioneers outscored the Royals 27-9 during the second quarter to turn a six-point lead into a 24-point advantage.

The Pioneer lead never dipped below 21 points in the third quarter, with a late run giving Tusculum a 68-38 lead on a pair of foul shots from Locklear with 2:53 left in the quarter. Patterson drilled a pair of three-pointers in the final 90 seconds of the quarter to help Tusculum to a 75-46 lead heading into the final period.

The closest Queens would get in the fourth quarter was 81-55 following a three-pointer by Jaymi Golden with 5:35 to go. Tusculum's largest lead was at 34 points at 94-60 on a three-pointer by Rodrigues with 1:06 left, before Queens' Cheyenne Logan closed the scoring with two free throws in the final second.

In addition to her 21 points, Patterson had five rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes for the Pioneers. Williams had a pair of blocked shots to go along with her 10 points and eight rebounds, while Cupidan came within one of her career high in rebounds as she finished with seven boards along with three assists.

Arnwine's 12 points came on 4-for-9 shooting from the field, including a three-pointer, and a 3-for-3 effort at the foul line. As a team, the Pioneers shot 14-for-20 (70 percent) at the stripe while the Royals were 15-for-25 (60 percent) on foul shots.

Duke matched her season high with eight rebounds for the Pioneers, and set career highs with three assists and three steals in just 16 minutes of action. Rodrigues sank 3-for-6 from long range and surpassed her point total through the first six games with her 11-point effort in 19 minutes off the bench.

Tusculum outscored Queens 44-26 in the paint and 13-12 on second-chance points as both teams had nine offensive rebounds. Tusculum outrebounded Queens by a 38-34 margin, and had 17 fast-break points to 13 by the Royals.

Goff also finished in double figures for Queens with 10 points along with five rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench. Carolina Bernardeco had nine points, four rebounds and four assists, while Golden hit a pair of threes and finished with six points in 16 minutes of action.

Tusculum will conclude the 2018 portion of its schedule on Wednesday, Dec. 19 with a trip to North Greenville for a 2 p.m. tipoff against the Crusaders. The Pioneers will return to home for games on Wednesday, Jan. 2 against Bluefield State and Thursday, Jan. 3 against Livingstone.
