Dan-Neil Telesford is entering his first year on the coaching staff at Tusculum University as a Volunteer coach. Coach Telesford is working alongside head coach Lionel Nau specializing in men and women sprint events.

Telesford, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, attained a full athletic scholarship at both Iowa Central Community College and Wiley College, where he excelled both as a student and an athlete. During his time at Iowa Central Community College he received All-American status in the 200m which contributed to a NJCAA National indoor Championships team title. He then went onto continue his academic and athletic career to Wiley College where he was runner-up at the NAIA National Championships in the 200m finals.

Not only did he excel in track and field, he also received a Presidential academic award at Wiley College. In addition, he served as an International Relations representative on the Executive Cabinet of the Student Government Association.

Apart from having success throughout his collegiate career, Telesford also had international achievements. He proudly represented his country Trinidad and Tobago at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In this event he received a Bronze medal in the 4x100m relay. In 2017, he participated at the World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan as a 200m finalist. In addition, he participated at several IAAF World Championships.

Telesford graduated from Wiley College in 2017 with his Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
