  • School-record 204 Pioneers named to SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll

    ROCK HILL, S.C. --- A school record 204 Tusculum University student-athletes have been named to the 2019-2020 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, which was announced on Monday. The conference had 2,175 student-athletes from the league’s 12 member institutions honored for their achievements in the classroom.

The event, which is held annually at the department’s end of the year athletic banquet, was done virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

    GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University and the South Atlantic Conference continue to assess the impact of COVID-19 in consultation with public health and medical professionals, as such the SAC Presidents Council has made the decision to cancel all spring athletics competition and practice for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. This includes all SAC spring sports championships.

Future conference opponent Limestone will square off with the Pioneers on Wednesday and Carson-Newman will serve as the SAC-opener on Saturday. Tusculum intended to open league play at UVa-Wise on Tuesday, but the contests have been postponed. The doubleheader at Emmanuel has also been delayed.

Wednesday’s doubleheader at Emmanuel (Ga.) was postponed due to weather concerns. A reschedule date with the Lions has yet to be determined.
